The XD2000F™ brings high performance computing (HPC) to AMD's Socket F architecture. Employing two of Altera's Stratix® II field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA), the XD2000F™ delivers greatly accelerated performance in data mining, financial analytics, video transcoding, medical imaging, scientific computing, network security, and many other applications. One FPGA performs application processing while the other serves as a data bridge to multiple HyperTransport links on the motherboard, enabling huge gains in application performance without massive investments in server hardware and related infrastructure. The XD2000F™ plugs directly into the AMD Socket F and fits within the AMD-specified retention frame. Hardware integration is as simple as pulling one of the Opteron™ chips and inserting the pin-compatible XD2000F™. See the product brief for detailed information. Patent pending.
The XD2000i™ extends XtremeData's lead in FPGA-based in-socket accelerators (ISA). Featuring the Stratix® III field-programmable gate array (FPGA) from Altera, the XD2000i promises greatly accelerated performance in data mining, financial analytics, video transcoding, medical imaging, scientific computing, network security, and many other applications. The Stratix® III's low power consumption allows highly efficient processor packaging, enabling huge gains in application performance without massive investments in server hardware and related infrastructure. The XD2000i plugs directly into the Intel front-side bus (FSB) socket of any Xeon DP system. Hardware integration is as simple as pulling one of the Xeon chips and inserting the pin-compatible XD2000i. See the product brief for detailed information. Patent pending.
The XD1000™ allows the user to integrate Altera's leading edge Stratix™ II Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology into a multi-Opteron™ based system. The XD1000™ can be inserted directly into an Opteron™ 940 socket and uses the motherboard's existing CPU infrastructure to create a full featured environment for FPGA coprocessor functions. The module connects to the CPU's HyperTransport bus and motherboard DIMMs while utilizing the existing power supply and heat sink solution for the CPU. The XD1000™ provides a cost-effective platform for FPGA acceleration that is deployable in the densest blade systems. See the product brief for detailed information. Patent pending. |
